Agencies Across The Country Observe Amber Alert Awareness Day

(HOUSTON, TX)– Law enforcement agencies across the country are observing National Amber Alert Awareness Day.

This is the eighteenth anniversary of the program, created by Dallas-Fort Worth Area Law Enforcement agencies and media representatives after the kidnapping and murder of nine year old Amber Hagerman. The Amber Alert, which officially stands for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response“, has helped recover 124 children in Texas alone.
